Mohammed Alam is the founder and president of Alyra Renewable Energy Finance. A firm imbued with a singular focus and rich experience in renewable energy, Alyra provides financial advisory services exclusively to the renewable energy sector. The firm specializes in M&A, project finance and strategic joint venture advisory. The firm’s clients include the leading renewable energy companies, utilities and institutional investors in North America and Europe. Before founding Alyra in January 2004, Mr. Alam served as vice president at Fortis Capital Corp., where he led a range of origination, structuring and restructuring of renewable and conventional power transactions. Mr. Alam frequently speaks at major international energy conferences and is an author of published articles for leading energy publications.
Timothy Rosenzweig,

Tim Rosenzweig is responsible for the strategic direction and overall management of Goldwind USA, the American subsidiary of the Goldwind Group. Prior to joining Goldwind, Rosenzweig served as senior VP of finance and CFO of First Wind. As one of the original members of UPC Wind (the predecessor to First Wind), Tim helped grow the business from a small start-up to over 150 employees, while leading the company capital raising efforts which exceeded $2.2 billion. Before joining First Wind, he worked as VP at a Nomura-backed private equity fund in New York. Before that, he was VP at GE Capital Market Services group in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Stamford, Connecticut.

Frank Shaw’s project experience includes renewable and conventional electric power projects, professional sports arenas, manufacturing facilities, solid waste and other environmental facilities, and other large, capitalintensive infrastructure projects. Mr. Shaw is experienced in all facets of transactional finance and infrastructure development, not only representing lenders and developers, but also equipment manufacturers, equity investors, off-takers and governmental agencies.

Sean Shimamoto advises clients in the energy sector on a variety of tax matters involving the structuring, development, acquisition and/or disposition of renewable energy projects such as wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and waste-to-energy projects, and the related project financing, including the qualification for and monetization of tax credits and other tax benefits associated with such projects. He is a frequent speaker on tax credits and other tax benefits with respect to renewable energy projects at conferences and webinars.
