Is Your Business Ready for the Coming
"Carbon Constrained" World?

Don't Miss the Pre-Conference
Carbon Capture Techonology Showcase

Discover a host of capture methods and non-source capture solutions that are commercially available and in R&D stage
With $3.4 billion in stimulus funding, carbon capture now has the full backing of the Obama administration. Across the Atlantic, the EU is committing many billions for over a dozen capture pilots and demonstration projects, both retrofits and new projects. Canada is also funding capture projects, and China and India represent huge potential markets for capture systems. Meanwhile, the EPA has issued a CO2 Endangerment finding, is revising its policies on Best Available Control Technology (BACT), and mandating carbon tracking. Will any new coal-fired projects be permitted without being at least “capture-ready?”

In this rapidly shifting policy environment, owners and operators of legacy coal projects, as well as developers, technology vendors, investors, lenders and contractors must know:

  • What government funding is available and how to access it
  • How the new policies will affect their technology choices, development paths and bottom line
  • What carbon credit markets will look like, and which capture approaches will fare better under which models
  • How the energy/cost burden of capture can be reduced, and what the technical risk factors are
  • What opportunities are opening up for capture retrofits, new projects and technology sales in the US and overseas

Now in its third year, Infocast’s Carbon Capture Status and Outlook is still the only meeting dedicated to the business of carbon capture solutions. This event will assess the impact of new funding and policies, technology maturation, and highlight leading capture pilot projects— domestic and international. A separate Pre-Conference Showcase will profile and survey a host of capture methods, both commercial and R&D-stage, and non-point source capture. Owners and developers of coal power assets will leave with a robust picture of the pros and cons of capture options in a rapidly changing policy and economic environment.
