Two of the major goals of the new clean energy economy are to break the nation’s dependence on foreign oil by harnessing electricity as the primary energy for personal transportation and the development of viable energy storage technologies to enable that new industry. Transportation & Energy Storage in the 21st Century will examine how Administration funding plans to spur the manufacture of efficient vehicles, electric drives components and enhanced energy storage capability.
