For the first time, the 2010 Biodefense Vaccines & Therapeutics conference will inaugurate the Animal Model Forum, June 15, 2010, supported by the Alliance for Biosecurity and the University of Maryland’s School of Medicine. The Forum will identify many of the key challenges facing the CBRN community as it works to develop animal models to test the efficacy of medical countermeasures for dangerous infectious biological pathogens and radiological/nuclear threats. Leading researchers from the biological and radiological/nuclear community will be on hand to explore strategies for dealing with challenges such as funding, technical development, and regulatory hurdles.

June 16-17, 2010
The annual Biodefense Vaccines & Therapeutics conference, June 14-17, 2010, will once again provide the latest information on the Federal government’s biodefense MCM research, development and procurement programs, and provide clarity on the regulatory pathway. The conference is the ideal venue to interact face-to-face with representatives from Federal agencies tasked with building the biodefense capacity in the United States. Year after year, the conference brings together the CBRN community to explore strategies with dealing with various challenges, share perspectives on dealing with uncertainty and establish fruitful collaboration to further the development of needed biological, chemical, radiological and nuclear medical countermeasures.
