Utility Scale Solar Technology Forum
September 13, 2010
Selecting a solar technology is an important consideration in any solar project. Therefore, getting comfortable with a solar technology and its provider has become a critical area of focus. The Forum is designed to provide a timely stage for technology developers to inform investors, lenders and offtakers about their technologies and offerings. The Forum will also explore grid integration issues for utility scale photovoltaics and solution-based technologies currently under development.

Project development is a difficult process in the best of circumstances. In utility scale solar, the level of difficulty is considerably increased by the uncertainty involved in building a new industry in a shifting policy and regulatory environment. Utilities' strategies and attitudes on utility scale solar continue to evolve rapidly. Regulatory bodies are forced to wrestle with many new issues and develop new policies and processes to address them. The entire development environment is constantly in a state of flux and staying on top of it is a key to success. To bring everyone up to speed on the latest information, the Briefing will provide an up-to-the-minute status report on developments in PPA agreements, siting and permitting, and transmission and interconnection.
* Extra Value! Registration for either of the September 13th meetings allows access to both, giving attendees the most relevant and valuable information.

The pipeline for utility scale solar projects continues to expand and the industry is rapidly drawing in new players. Utility scale PV is experiencing significant growth, with more than 6,000 MW in announced projects in the pipeline. The CSP project pipeline is reported to be 10,583 MW. How will this impressive pipeline of projects be financed?
The Utility Scale Solar Finance & Investment Summit is the major gathering place where the industry and the financial community come together to explore the financing of utility scale solar projects. The Summit provides an important opportunity for these groups to exchange market intelligence, share perspectives, build a mutual understanding and to discuss what it will take to successfully finance the growing pipeline of utility scale solar projects.
The Summit will bring together a stellar lineup of speakers to provide their insights into the strategies and requirements of developers, utilities, investors, and lenders and then explore the opportunities for accessing government support, employing new deal structures and crafting new strategies to get projects successfully financed.
