Selecting a solar technology is an important consideration in any solar project. Therefore, getting comfortable with a solar technology and its provider has become a critical area of focus. The Forum is designed to provide a timely stage for technology developers to inform investors, lenders and offtakers about their technologies and offerings. The Forum will also explore grid integration issues for utility scale photovoltaics and solution-based technologies currently under development.

Project development is a difficult process in the best of circumstances. In utility scale solar, the level of difficulty is considerably increased by the uncertainty involved in building a new industry in a shifting policy and regulatory environment. Utilities' strategies and attitudes on utility scale solar continue to evolve rapidly. Regulatory bodies are forced to wrestle with many new issues and develop new policies and processes to address them.
