Two Stimulus Packages For the Price of One!
Don’t Miss the Pre-Tutorial Symposium:
Biomass Conversion Technologies
On February 17th, President Barack Obama signed the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 which includes a wide variety of provisions in support of the renewable fuels industry in general and the biomass community in particular. Three of the most notable items in the stimulus package include:
- $800 million in biomass project and research & development funding via the Department of Energy
- Extension of the PTC (Production Tax Credit) for biomass and solid waste through 2013
- Conversion of the PTC into the ITC (Investment Tax Credit) for selected biomass projects
R. Thomas Amis, the Chairman of the upcoming Biomass Project Development Tutorial (April 6-8 in Atlanta, GA) and members of the tutorial faculty, including Todd Alexander of Chadbourne & Parke and luncheon presenter Mark Riedy, the General Counsel for ACORE, have confirmed that these issues and more will be top-of-mind throughout the event. With representatives from National Energy Renewable Laboratory, the Energy & Environmental Research Center and the U.S. Department of Energy on the roster, attendees are sure to be provided with the first, major comprehensive review of what the elements of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 mean in terms of real-world opportunities to the biomass community.
In order to provide our own stimulus package to potential attendees of the upcoming Biomass Project Development Tutorial, Infocast has decided to provide a significant discount to biomass developers. Developers will now be able to attend the Tutorial (April 5 & 6) for $695 (instead of the previous $1,695) and the Pre-Tutorial Symposium (April 6) for $495 (instead of the previous $795). Additional savings are in store if you book now and reserve your rooms at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel. Call 888-627-7087 by March 16th and you can confirm your room for $139 per night. Be sure to mention that you are a registrant for the Infocast/Biomass Project Development Tutorial. Please note that “developers” is defined as those established or start-up developers who are searching for and/or receiving investment in the biomass field. Discounts are subject to verification and approval and maybe not be combined with other discounts.
