Steven S. Greenwald, Managing Director, Credit Suisse
Steven S. Greenwald is a Managing Director of Credit Suisse and is the senior member and Head of the Global Project Finance Group, based in New York.
Mr. Greenwald joined the Bank in 1979. Since then he has worked on more than 200 projects with an aggregate value in excess of US$150 billion. He has developed and/or implemented financing plans for independent power projects, telecommunications projects, paper mills, coal, diamond and copper mines, petrochemical and synfuel facilities, oil and gas projects (pipelines, LNG, etc.) and certain venture capital start-up situations. These projects have been located in North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Australia.
Mr. Greenwald received his B.A., cum laude, from the State University of New York at Buffalo and his M.B.A. in Finance from Baruch College.

Kenneth Hansen, Partner, Chadbourne & Parke LLP
Kenneth Hansen’s practice involves representing commercial and public agency lenders, as well as project developers, in structuring, negotiating, documenting and implementing project financings, particularly in the energy sector. Formerly the General Counsel of the Export-Import Bank of the United States and Associate General Counsel at the Overseas Private Investment Corporation, Mr. Hansen’s sectoral experience ranges from power generation, transmission and distribution projects to oil and gas, transportation, and telecommunications infrastructure projects. Mr. Hansen is listed in Chambers USA – America’s Leading Lawyers for Business for projects and Chambers Global – The World’s Leading Lawyers for Business for projects and energy in Latin America. He is also cited in Legal 500 for his work in project finance, in The Best Lawyers in America, and in Who’s Who Legal – The International Who’s Who of Project Finance Lawyers (2007).

Walter S. Howes, Managing Partner, Verdigris Capital and a former head of the DOE loan guarantee program
Walter S. Howes is the Managing Partner of Verdigris Capital, LLC, a private equity partnership focused on sustainable solutions in the areas of – energy, transportation, agriculture, construction and information management.
Prior to Verdigris, Mr. Howes served at DOE in numerous positions, including, Director for the Office of Acquisition Reform and Privatization, where he was the principal advisor to the Secretary of Energy in the formulation, guidance and implementation of the Department’s privatization and contract reform initiatives. He also held the positions of Senior Advisor for Acquisition Policy and Director of the Loan Guarantee Office as established by the Energy Policy Act of 2005.
He has over 20 years of experience in investment and commercial banking, venture capital and international privatization activities, having served as President of the EBI Capital Group, Vice President for the First Boston Corporation and Citicorp, and with the Ministry of Industry & Finance for the Czech Government. Mr. Howes graduated with honors from Duke University in 1979. He has an MBA in International Finance from New York University.
