Clean Power Now started on Cape Cod in 2003 and has grown to over 12,000 members strong. We are a non-profit grassroots organization informing citizens and empowering them to support viable renewable energy projects and policies, and to secure their local and regional benefits.
We believe that the timely development of such projects, in conjunction with energy efficiency and conservation, will bring about a clean, healthy environment, an improved economy and a more secure, sustainable America.
Our immediate focus is to increase citizen support of offshore wind power in Nantucket Sound.

Our core values are reflected in our environmental campaign work: We 'bear witness' to environmental destruction in a peaceful, non-violent manner. We use non-violent confrontation to raise the level and quality of public debate. In exposing threats to the environment and finding solutions we have no permanent allies or adversaries. We ensure our financial independence from political or commercial interests. We seek solutions for, and promote open, informed debate about society's environmental choices.

The Ontario Sustainable Energy Association (OSEA) has represented Ontario’s Community Power sector for more than 10 years. The association is a province-wide, member-based, non-profit organization representing thousands of individuals and more than one hundred organizations who are actively developing, promoting and servicing Community Power projects across the province of Ontario. Members include: individual citizens, aboriginal groups, municipalities, utilities, public institutions, faith-based groups, co-operative and collaborative businesses, unions, colleges and universities, government agencies, manufacturers, suppliers, developers and other organizations that support OSEA’s vision of every Ontarian being a generator and conserver of sustainable energy contributing to the rapid transition to a 100% sustainable energy economy.
OSEA has been highly influential in the development of major policies in Ontario, such as the Renewable Energy Standard Offer Program. The latest and by far the most important initiative by OSEA, its members and partners was the Green Energy Act Campaign. This campaign culminated last year (2009) into the Green Energy and Green Economy Act and the Feed-in Tariff Programs, which are being hailed as the most groundbreaking achievements for the North American renewable energy industry to date. OSEA is a facilitator of Community Power providing good council, resources and expertise to communities, government and businesses. Its Community Power Conference brings together experts, enablers, proponents and supporters of Community Power from across Ontario, Canada and around the world on an annual basis. This tradition started with the 7th World Wind Energy Conference, which OSEA organized in cooperation with the World Wind Energy Association in 2008.
