Now, for the first time, we will inaugurate a Western version of this outstanding event. At the Transmission Summit West, senior transmission executives will gather and address the strategic, regulatory, investment and technology issues facing the industry and explore strategies for maximizing the true value of their business.
The theme of this year’s Transmission Summit West is “Strategic Opportunities for the Next Phase of Transmission Development.” The Summit will discuss the opportunities and challenges being presented as many transmission industry owners and operators move projects from the drawing board through construction.
At the Transmission Summit West, the industry’s key leaders will provide a detailed explanation of how they are working to surmount the hurdles of planning and developing large-scale projects to serve energy markets that may look very different than those of the past. They will discuss how they are responding to emerging challenges in financing and approval of multi-jurisdictional projects, integrating smart grid technologies, planning construction, and meeting the demands of large-scale renewable energy.
