Pre-Conference Symposium

Advances in Biomass to Energy and Conversion Technologies

MONDAY, MARCH 26, 2007
9:00 AM –5:00 PM

The Symposium will discuss many of the diverse technologies contributing to biomass power and biorefinery project success. The focus will be on educating potential investors about what they should know about the operating histories of various biomass-to-power and biomass-to-fuel technologies, as well as anticipated future developments. They will cover many of the technical issues and potential solutions for many of the prime types of biomass projects currently in development or on the drawing board, such as direct energy conversion, MSW to energy, industrial waste efficiency plants and biofuels production. They will also assess the current state-of-the-art and expected developments in producing bagasse, DDG, and cellulose-based ethanol and other biofuels, as well as the challenges and potential advances in converting MSW and forest products.
