As a prelude to the Summit, this all day briefing will provide an excellent opportunity for attendees to obtain a report on the status of industry activities to develop a feedstock logistics infrastructure to collect and ship large volumes of biomass to biorefineries. This element in industry building has often been overlooked. However, as more and more biorefinery plants are announced, it is critical that logistics systems be put in place to support these new plants.

Moving through the supply system, the briefing will provide attendees with the most current information about developments in harvesting, storage, and transportation. The briefing will conclude with looking at the economic implications of these developments. The briefing is designed to provide plenty of opportunity for Q&A and group interaction.
