About the Event

The need for energy developments across Latin America is immense. Government and other sponsors have recognized that a vast amount of private investment will be needed in the near- to mid-term in the energy sector: in electric power plant and distribution system developments, LNG, and the infrastructure to exploit vast amounts of natural gas and newly discovered light gas resources. And the macroeconomics for development in Latin America have improved immensely: most countries' economies have improved, governments stabilized, and inflation controlled.

The companies with the latest information on project proposals and developments, as well as personal contacts with key project personnel, will be in the best position to assess the opportunities, requirements and challenges of major projects.

Latin America Energy Finance will bring together industry leaders and experts to provide construction companies, developers and financiers with insights gained from years in the field concerning how to structure financeable projects in Latin America-and get them built. They will examine the issues currently facing developers in Latin America, and explore creative solutions to the challenges of developing projects.

  • How to assess the strength and risks of Latin American markets, and the availability of financing for projects
  • How to structure a bankable project in Latin America
  • The prospects for major electric developments in Mexico, Peru and Costa Rica
  • The special considerations in financing renewable energy and hydroelectric power projects in Latin America
  • The potential impacts of newly-discovered natural gas and light oil resources in Brazil and the potential for major gas infrastructure developments in Mexico and Peru
