SYMPOSIUM
Supply Chain Readiness for Pandemic Influenza Response
Monday, November 13, 2006 The readiness of the national medical supply chain to handle the daunting task of managing the flow and administration of medicines and supplies during a pandemic is of paramount national concern. This Symposium will bring together leading experts from government, industry, and public health entities to address how the supply chain for vaccines, therapeutics, and medical supplies will actually be managed during a pandemic. Through presentations and interactive discussions, speakers representing three major components of the pandemic response supply chain-production, supply, and administration-will focus on the integration and coordination of key components in the supply chain, highlight any gaps that may exist, and explore strategies for addressing those gaps.
